In Music, a "melody"(Greek = melodia) also relates to singing, chanting!!! The Melody forms a series of linear events along with the tune, voice or line. However this series must contain some kind of change and percieved as a single entity called a "melody"! Uff.....enough of this technical stuff!
For a common man, melody brings the soothness into the mind and takes it into a trance where all the troubles and worries can be left forgotten and sail across the beautiful sea. Anything that relaxes the mind can be related easily to the melody. A child's voice in its cry and smile can be thought of a melody. A sweet breeze in the air can be termed melodious.
A simple adjective to give for a melody is "It Haunts!!!!"
